Old machine age industrial saddle stapler made by ACME Staple Company of Franklin, New Hampshire. This large industrial stapler is cast iron with a black japanned finish and nickel or chrome plated handle, saddle etc.. The saddle can be set for either flat stapling or for saddle stapling folded signatures or booklets in a small press bindery.

It measures about 23" long overall with a 12" throat. The saddle is about 6 3/4" wide. This stapler takes staples about 9/16" wide and up to about 1/2" high. It is in nice vintage condition and works smoothly with a little light rust to the plating.
