Probeye model 664 infrared viewer, Hughes Aircraft Co w/case etc.

Vintage Probeye infrared viewer with a large foam lined storage chest or case. This is marked as model 664 and with a serial number 12011. It is made by the "Hughes Aircraft Co - Industrial Products Division - Carlsbad, California". It has an external battery pack with a 6 pin connector and an about 2 foot long connecting cable.

This is from the estate of an industrial telecommunications and radio engineer and we don't know much about this.

The case measures about 21" x 15" x 14" and is marked "Anvil". The foam insert is breaking down and crumbling from age. There is wear to the viewer and light surface rust to the metal fittings of the case.
