Retro 1970s vintage GE Power Sound portable 8-track player w/PA or karaoke

Vintage 1970s General Electric portable 8-track tape cartridge player. This 8 track tape player has jacks for both a microphone and earphones. It has knobs for tone and volume control and one for "mic gain" that is calibrated for "Sing-Along" to PA. It measures about 12" x 9" x 4", has a carrying strap and is marked Japan.

This has a 110 volt AC (regular household power) cord, a battery case and a jack for DC power (presumably 12 volt) labeled "car / boat". We've tested this player with the AC power cord and it works fine.
