Retro vintage Magnavox reel to reel tape recorder player for parts

Vintage Magnavox model 1V9002 reel-to-reel tape player made in Japan. This vintage reel to reel player is dual channel and is made to be able to record from two separate microphones at the that same time. It has 4 speeds, 3-3/4, 7-1/2, 1-7/8 and 15/16. It has onboard speakers and also has output jacks for connecting to external speakers.

There are included the two original Magnavox mikes and stands, speaker cables and a pin like part that was in the back storage cabinet when we got this and we're not sure what it is.

It measures about 16" high, 16" wide and 12" deep (front to back). This tape player is in nice clean condition, but does have a few small areas of peeling to the case.

We've plugged it in and it powers up and the speakers crackle, but when we engage the tape drive it runs for a moment, slows down and stops. We think that there is a belt slipping in the drive train and are selling this for restoration or parts.
