Pulp vintage Dec 1948 Astounding Science Fiction magazine, Poul Anderson

1940s pulp vintage sci-fi magazine "Astounding Science Fiction" from December, 1948. This issue has rocketship cover art and the cover story is "Genius" by Poul Anderson.

We don't know anything about grading pulp magazines, but this issue does have some wear and age as well as some spotting to some of the pages and a larger spot of discoloration on the front cover that runs through the cover. There is a small number "6" stamp applied to the top right-hand corner of the cover. There is a "12 8" in ink on the bottom edge of the pages.

Astounding Science Fiction was originally published under the title of "Astounding Stories" in 1930. In 1938 the magazine was renamed "Astounding Science Fiction" and was renamed again in 1960 to "Analog Science Fiction and Fact".
