May 1950 Astounding Science Fiction magazine, 1st appearance of Hubbard's Dianetics

Vintage early 1950s, pulp science fiction magazine, "Astounding Science Fiction" from May, 1950. The cover stories for this issue are "The Helping Hand" by Poul Anderson and the featured cover article on "Dianetics - A new science of the mind" from L. Ron Hubbard (the founder of Scientology). We've been told that this issue is the first appearance of Hubbard's Dianetics.

This is in nice vintage condition. We don't know anything about grading pulp magazines, but this issue does have light wear and age. There is a "50" in ink on the bottom edge of the pages.
