Retro 1950s / 1960s vintage Ford / Mercury GT30L chrome locking gas cap with keys

Retro mid-century vintage chrome locking gasoline tank cap. Great addition to your retro hotrod! This locking gas cap is marked on the back as "GT30L" and has two Brigg & Stratton. The keys are marked "GAS".

We've been told that this gas cap fits the Ford, Mercury and Lincoln vehicles from the mid 1950s through about the mid 1960s, but are not sure. It measures 2 1/2" over the chrome cap, about 1.4" thick, about 1 1/2" across the round portion of the gas cap that fits into the gas tank filler. It is about 1 3/4" (and 0.58" wide) over the square channels.
