Vintage Guide rear view mirror, 50s GM / Chevrolet glare proof mirror hot rod restoration part

Vintage Guide rear view mirror with the glare proof tilting feature. We've been told this is a Chevy mirror from the late 40s or early 50s.

It measures about 7 1/8" x 2 1/4" over the chrome frame. It is in nice condition with soil from storage.
