Lot of assorted large old air variable capacitors for radio repair & parts

Lot of four large assorted air variable capacitors from the estate of a shortwave and ham radio enthusiast.

These range in size from about 2.25" x 2.5" up to 4.5" x 3.5".

One of these is marked "Defiance" and carries a US patent number from 1930. Another capacitor is marked "General Instrument Corp" and carries a patent number from 1925.

These have age, tarnish etc. and all came of the stash of a shortwave ham and radio restorer.
