Old Mexico carved wood & iron wall niche candle sconces, amber shades
Pair of huge rustic hand-crafted wood and wrought iron wall brackets with recessed alcoves, to hold candle tapers in hand-blown amber crackle glass hurricanes. These are made in Mexico, 60s or early 70s vintage, we believe? The wood wall plaques measure 27" x 11".
The iron hardware could easily be adapted from candles, to be wired for electricity and hold candle bulbs instead of candles! There's some fading and spotting to the red velvet backing the niches, and a few light rust spots to the ironwork, but no major condition problems.
