1st edition The Rainbow Book of American History w/color illustrations

1955 vintage first edition of The Rainbow Book of American History by Earl Schenck Miers and illustrated by James Daugherty.

This has 319 pages with many color illustrations and an art binding with an American eagle. There is a name and date on the front endpaper and scars on the inside of the covers where it looks like book plates have been removed. The joints are cracked.
