Vintage TraCo A&W Root Beer advertising car hop drive-in serving tray

Mid-century vintage TraCo A&W Root Beer tray from a carhop drive-in restaurant. The car hop would bring out you food on the tray and hang it from the window of your automobile. It measures about 14" x 11" on the aluminum tray.

We're guessing that this tray is from the late 1930s or the 1940s (probably not the war years because of the aluminum tray) as it is marked with a US patent number from 1933.

This has some wear and scratching.
