1940s baby alligator purse w/ full body hide & head, vintage Brazilian leather

This is scary, but oddly fascinating - a 1940s vintage baby alligator handbag, with Spanish label inside (bought in Brazil, we think?) The bag measures 12 1/2" x 7 1/2", and the alligator head measures 5" long. The eyes are closed - I don't think I could deal with this otherwise! - but the teeth do show, and are really wicked looking.

The inside of the bag is nice and clean, and the exterior looks good, too, without much wear at all to the leather. There's a 1 1/2" cut along the back of the little alligator, and the two little tabs on the strap could use re-gluing.
