Vintage wood Nine Men's Morris medieval/renaissance strategy board game

1970s vintage wooden gaming set for Nine Men's Morris, a strategy game with roots as far back as the Roman Empire, but was most popular in medieval England where it was also known as "Mills" and "Merrills". This set consists of the mahogany game board, colored glass marbles as playing pieces and playing instructions. The game board has pockets for storing the marbles safely while not in use. Perfect for your next renaissance faire!

This game board was made by Berea Collage Student Industries. Berea Collage was founded in 1859 in Berea, Kentucky as a integrated and coed collage that allowed poor students to pay for their education by working on the collage campus, in workshops, performing administrative tasks etc.
