Vintage PX-300 Handie-Talkie portable transceiver radio w/ case

Vintage Motorola portable "lunchbox" style FM radiophone transceiver with an olive-drab khaki canvas carrying tote or case. This is a "Motorola PX300 - Handie-Talkie Radio" a portable radio with a hand held microphone, whip antenna and a large rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery pack. The battery pack is rated 14.4 volts and 4000 mah.

We're not sure of the exact vintage of this radio, but were told probably from the 1960s or 1970s.

This radio is marked as a model P1116A, and is marked for transmitting and receiving on radio frequency 158.145 MHz on "F1". The radio measures about 8" x 8" x 4", not including the whip antenna. The battery pack is dead and we don't know how to recharge it.

This FM walkie-talkie radio is from the estate of an industrial communications engineer and shortwave / ham radio enthusiast. This radio has names and number engraved on to the case and a crack to the plastic housing on the top half of the radio. It was in storage in an attic for many years and has dust and soil from storage and we are assuming that you'll need to do some tweaking, tuning etc to this radio. The canvas bag case is faded and worn.

We are selling this vintage radio for restoration or repair.
