Motorola PT300 portable HT Handie-Talkie lunchbox FM radio transceiver

1960s, Vietnam War vintage, Motorola "Handie-Talkie" portable FM radiophone transceiver with an olive-drab khaki canvas carrying tote or case. This is a battery operated "lunchbox" type radio with a hand held microphone and a whip antenna. This is marked as a Motorola PT300 radio. We're not sure of the exact vintage of this radio, but were told probably 1960s.

This radio is marked on the label plate as model P33DEN1100BM, transmitting and receiving on radio frequency 158.145 MHz. It has an olive drab plastic "lunchbox" case and holds 11 "D" cell batteries. The radio measures about 8" x 8" x 4". We tested this radio and it works.

This walkie-talkie radio is from the estate of an industrial communications engineer and shortwave / ham radio enthusiast. We did test this radio and were able to both transmit and receive to another radio, but it was in storage in an attic for many years and has dust and soil from storage and we are assuming that you'll need to do some tweaking, tuning etc to this radio.

The plastic case is worn with minor nicks, dings, chips etc. and there is a crack to the plastic housing of the upper part of the radio near the base of the antenna and some rust to the battery terminals. The canvas bag case has stains and areas of fading.

We are selling this vintage radio for restoration or repair.
