Vintage PT-300 portable transceiver, Handie-Talkie lunchbox radio w/ case

Vintage Motorola portable "lunchbox" style FM radiophone transceiver with an olive-drab khaki canvas carrying tote or case. This is a battery operated portable radio with a hand held microphone and a whip antenna. It is a "Motorola PT-300 - Handie-Talkie Radio". We're not sure of the exact vintage of this radio, but were told probably from the 1960s.

This radio is marked on the label plate as model P33DEN1100BM, transmitting and receiving on radio frequency 158.145 MHz. It has an olive drab plastic "lunchbox" case and holds 11 "D" cell batteries. The radio measures about 8" x 8" x 4", not including the whip antenna. We tested this radio and it works.

This FM walkie-talkie radio is from the estate of an industrial communications engineer and shortwave / ham radio enthusiast. We did test this radio and were able to both transmit and receive to another radio, but it was in storage in an attic for many years and has dust and soil from storage and we are assuming that you'll need to do some tweaking, tuning etc to this radio.

The plastic case is in nice condition with no major chips or cracks. The canvas bag case has areas of fading wear and stains and tarnish / oxidation to the metal zipper.

We are selling this vintage radio for restoration or repair.
