hanging brass lanterns pendant light w/ twin lights, retro 60s vintage swag lamp

Twin light swag lamp, 1960s or early 70s vintage. The lanterns measure about 13 1/2" long.

This looks good overall, and works just fine. But the electrical cord is sticky to touch, not sure if that's from age or from dust and soil.

It doesn't seem to wipe down readily, but we haven't done more that dust it with a plain damp cloth.
