50s retro TV lamp base, ceramic gondola, vintage California pottery

Unmarked vintage ceramic body for a mid-century vintage figural TV lamp - we think this is probably California pottery? This measures 19 1/2" long over the gondola, has an open base for the wiring and base to fit.

The gondolier is missing a pole or an oar, which we'd expect would have been made of wood, or plastic? This looks good aside from that, no chips or cracks.
