Brutalist iron head candle holder, naive art ugly face old man in the moon?

Brutalist style heavy iron candle holder with a very ugly face about 3" in diameter. It's strangely compelling, we wish we knew a little more about it! It's unmarked and we haven't been able to find out anything about its origins.
